PacPay will replace WesPay with PAR/WACHA as its education and services partner for its members in 2018.

Oahu, Hawaii, Oct. 6, 2017 – PacPay has selected PAR/WACHA, The Premier Payments Resource, to bring extensive payment and compliance services to Hawaii’s financial industry beginning on January 1, 2018. PAR/WACHA’s mission is to be the most knowledgeable, responsive and service oriented payments resource. Focused on leading edge solutions and ideas, PAR/WACHA provides quality education on all payment systems including Faster Payments, audits, risk assessments and a range of other support services all focused on helping our members meet their goals and objectives with minimal risk.

“Our team is ecstatic to be able to service the financial institutions in Hawaii,” says Mary Gilmeister, President of PAR/WACHA. “We have been providing a Payments University program and audit services in Hawaii for 23 years, but the payments environment is undergoing radical change. With new and unforeseen implications from technology, FinTech companies and entirely new processes and procedures, having knowledge of all payment systems is critical in today’s environment as payments continue to converge. We are excited to be able to support PacPay members to minimize the impact of these changes and ensure they are gaining maximum benefits.”

Due to member feedback and declining participation in our current educational programs, the PacPay board decided to select a new partner and replace WesPay. Although you always have a choice in who you engage for education, we believe PAR/WACHA was the better choice going forward for our members. “We are very pleased to announce our collaboration with PAR/WACHA as our new education partner. We have known Mary and the WACHA team for many years and they truly are The Premier Payments Resource for education and service,” says Thomas Santos, Vice President of Aloha Pacific FCU and PacPay Board President.

As a reminder, if you are a member of the RPC and PacPay, you are required to be a member of
